NAMMでRacer Xがプレイする前情報があり またIbanez/Paul Gilbertシグネチャーモデル"Iceman" (Hippie Strap"Iceman"ストラップ限定付属)のお披露目ライブがあるとメーカーから聞いていたので、会場となったNAMMに隣接しているシェラトンホテルのBallroomに行ってきました！

さすがはIbanez！オープニングのAndy Timmons Bandが始まる20時の時点でもかなりの動員数でしたが、ポールギルバートバンドが登場した21時頃には入り口のドアーが全開にしてあっても簡単には入れない状態になっていました。

17日の20時から行なわれた"Ibanez"のイヴェントに登場したAndy Timmons Band。(あくまでも個人的見解ですが）メサブギーを使用するギタリストではNight Rangerぶりの素晴らしいトーンを弾き出していました。

シェラトンホテルのBallroomであの爆音は日本では考えられない音量でしょう。３ピースバンドとは思えないビッグサウンドでした。VIPパスを頂いていたので前方に行くと、圧倒的な音量/音圧の中にいながらとても色気のあるアンディーのギターサウンドが妙に心地良かったです。オリジナリティー溢れるプレイを連発していました！"Ibanez"のイヴェントという事で大勢の観客が入場していたのでメンバーも興奮気味で終始笑顔で熱演していました。
