SSの使用機材インタビューより
Steve Stevensがこのインタビューで何を話しているのかアンプの説明の箇所を知りたいというメールがあったので書き出してみました。お気に入りのギタリストのインタビューを聞き取りたくて必死になってリスニングの勉強していた頃を思い出します。お気に入りの俳優/女優さんやスポーツ選手やアーティストのインタビューなどを英語の教材にするとモチベーション上がりますよね！
> サウンドチェック時に"Blankenship"と"Splawn"のどちらかをバリバリのロックサウンドのメインアンプとして選ぶんだけど、フィルモアのサイズ的に"Splawn"の方がしっくりくるので今夜は"Splawn"がメインアンプです。全てのクリーンサウンドはカスタムオーディオOD100で、またOD100のoverdriveチャンネルはMoogとかのクレイジーなエフェクトサウンド専用にしています。

「the amp world. My main amps for my full on rock and roll stuff. it`s uh , I use either a Blankenship 100 watt, or this "Splawn" depending on the hall. uh , this guy is like basically a super hot-rodded Marshall style amp. We run it off a Variac and sound check usually will dictate to me which out of these two I wanna use. Uh, we`re at the Fillmore in San Francisco, so I found that the Splawn works better for this room a little bit so we`re on that guy. Uh, and then a custom audio OD 100. uh John Suhrs amp, that does all my clean stuff as well as the overdrive channel has a bunch of crazy effects going through it. So when I wanna use some of my Moog pedals and stuff, the overdrive channel is dedicated just for those」
大きいサイズの会場では 強力にチューンアップされたマーシャルタイプのアンプの"Blankenship"に"Variac"をかましてメインアンプとして鳴らしている様なので、このアンプのサウンドもまた気になる所です。
